Time Line Help

Much of the success of a wedding day experience relies on a logical and well-planned schedule. In general, when people know where they are supposed to be and when, things are smoother. Please don't hesitate to call or email if you would like help constructing your timeline.  But for you do-it-yourselfers out there, here are some guidelines.

Family Formals take about 15-20 minutes if everyone knows where they are supposed to be and when and your families aren't crazy big.

Wedding Party pictures are a bit dependent on where you want to go, transportation, drive times and the cooperativeness of your wedding party.  Plan about 45 minutes for these.

Bride & Groom pictures are one of my favorite parts.  Please plan at least 20 minutes for these, with an additional 10 minutes for each of you separate, earlier in the day.

A First Look should have at least 15 minutes scheduled in.  You will run late, and this is something you don't want to rush - you want to treasure it.

Receiving lines take at minimum thirty minutes.  They just do.

Cake Cutting and First Dance easily add up to almost thirty minutes at any given wedding.

Always keep in mind what it takes to move large groups of people.  It takes a lot longer to get twenty people to a new location than it does two.

And never forget to consider the availability of light.  Look up when the sun will set on your day and work around that.  Natural light beats indoor lighting and flash everytime.
